Finalists of the IBC Innovation Award’s 2011

The coveted IBC Innovation Award’s are awarded to company’s possessing the most innovative technology and solutions for media and broadcast technologies.

The following three finalists have been nominated in the ‘Content Distribution’ category:

• Digital End-to-End. Delivery of movies and TV programmes to a large number of broadcast stations, head-ends, cinemas and web sites using technology from Accenture and AmberFin.
• Metro Ethernet Backbone. City-wide IP data exchange for the Brazilian broadcast station TV Globo using technologies from Cisco.
• Single Frequency Networks for HD television. Using a cellular approach, the Finnish broadcaster DNA deployed technologies from Plisch and TeamCast allowing rapid deployment and nation-wide broadcasting of DVB-T2.
